PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES

As part of a coalition, we work with other pro-choice organizations to ensure that every woman is free to make decisions about having children according to her own conscience and religious beliefs. We are a strong religious voice within the pro-choice community. We:

·          Participate in lobbying efforts, and co-sponsor NARAL’s Reproductive Choice Day.

·          Develop curriculum and promote sexuality education in congregations.

·          Spread the word that religious people are pro-choice through speaking engagements, workshops and displays at conferences, written articles and advertising campaigns.

·          Lead All Options Clergy Counseling training sessions, preparing clergy to offer counseling and support to women and couples experiencing unwelcome or problem pregnancies.

·          Organize college students to speak out for religious freedom.

·          Train clergy to testify at the legislature on birth control, sexuality education and abortion rights.

·          Host clinic appreciation ceremonies to provide morale support to staff members at women’s reproductive health centers and act as a peaceful presence outside women’s health clinics.
