Word cloud celebrating 25 year mission of MNRCRC -

We are delighted to welcome Rev. Harry Knox, President and CEO of the national Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) in Washington, DC, to the Twin Cities to help us celebrate MNRCRC's 25 years of service, education and advocacy.

Throughout a variety of events, Rev. Knox will talk about where we've been, the current state of the reproductive justice movement, and why the work of MNRCRC is needed now more than ever.

About Rev. Harry Knox

Rev. Harry Knox works for women’s access to health care and self-determination. Prior to taking the helm at RCRC, Harry was the founding director of the Human Rights Campaign’s Religion and Faith Program, the first Program Director at Freedom to Marry, and Executive Director of Georgia Equality.  He has pastored churches in Georgia and Texas, and has held positions with the American Cancer Society and Equality Florida. Harry was appointed by President Obama in February 2009 to the President’s first Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.  He is the recipient of the 2000 Cordle Award for Promotion of God’s Diversity, Lancaster Theological Seminary’s 2005 Robert V. 25th Anniversary Celebration at Westminster Presbyterian

Come celebrate our 25-year history of standing strong for reproductive health and freedom from a faith perspective. We'll look back at the memories of our work through posters, videos, advertisements, and the faces of leaders and supporters. We'll toast the hundreds of clergy we trained to provide All Options Counseling Services, the dozens of seminarians who recognized the need for this work in their ministry, and partners like the Minnesota Choice Coalition. We'll remember the countless women who have called us to receive reproductive counseling and help with reproductive loss. Learn about the trajectory of the movement and how MNRCRC is needed now more than ever!

We're also excited to bring back the Faith and Freedom awards! This year, we will recognize 3 individuals or organizations who embody the values of standing for reproductive health, rights and justice from a faith perspective. We are honored to recognize the Rev. Harry Knox as one recipient. He will also give the keynote address. The other recipients will be announced soon.

This 25th anniversary celebration includes appetizers, non-alcoholic punch, and a hot dish buffet dinner (vegetarian, gluten-free and kosher options available). It will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Clergy & Faith Leader Breakfast at All God's Children MCC

The power of the prophetic voice to speak on thorny issues can change the course of history, but it can be daunting and lonely work. At MNRCRC, we are building a statewide network of faith leaders who are committed to reproductive justice, and who believe we can cultivate common ground that honors the complexity of all of life as we support women and their personal healthcare decisions.

Join Rev. Knox and other progressive clergy and faith leaders at All God's Children Metropolitan Community Church for a concise program on how congregations and faith communities can get involved in the movement for reproductive justice.

3100 Park Ave S, Minneapolis, MN (map/directions)

Thurs., 11/13, Give to the Max Day!
